Winter – From The Road
Penn State fraternities and sororities open homes decorated for the holidays to State College community
Fraternities and sororities at Pennsylvania State University invited the State College community into their homes for the holiday. For the annual event, community members toured 33 houses decorated by fraternities paired with sororities, the first time in several years where the tours were welcomed indoors for the five best-decorated homes. Trolleys were provided for those touring the houses. Community members were excited to view the inside of the houses. Members dressed as Santa Claus and elves and were found in rooms created to look like snowy winter wonderlands and Santa’s workshop. The houses were judged by university staff members and the winning chapters had a donation made to the philanthropic organization of their choice.

The event was open to the UCF and local Orlando community and over 200 toys were collected. Following the menorah lighting and blessings, attendees enjoyed traditional Chanukah foods and participated in drawings for gift cards and menorahs.
